A warm amber-yellow in the glass. The nose is intense and layered, with notes of ripe yellow fruit, vanilla, honey and dried flowers – complex, inviting and deeply aromatic. On the palate it is rich, smooth and lingering.
A wine to savour slowly. Perfect alongside dry pastries and aged cheeses, or simply on its own as a moment of quiet indulgence.
Best served at 8/10 °C.
Fanciol is born from the finest bunches of Garganega and Trebbiano, hand-harvested in mid-September and selected with great care at the vineyard.
The selected bunches are laid in wooden caskets and left to dry slowly for approximately 100 days, during which the grapes gradually lose moisture and their flavours concentrate into something rich and complex.
After drying, the grapes undergo a very gentle pressing, carefully separating the skins from the free-run must to preserve the wine’s delicacy and natural sweetness. The wine is then transferred to French oak barrels, where it matures for 12 months. It then rests in bottle for a further 6 months before release.
